Lyons is a charming town of approximately 2,000 people situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains and the confluence of the North and South St. Vrain Rivers. Its surrounding communities add another 4,000 residents to the market area. The community has more than 7,500 acres of Boulder County Open Space adjoining the town limits and nearly 150 acres of prime park land. Due to its location at the intersection of State Highway 7 and US Highway 36, which lead to Rocky Mountain National Park, Lyons is often referred to as the “Double Gateway to the Rockies”.

Lyons has a beautiful ruggedness and historical appeal that emanates from the surrounding sandstone cliffs and buildings throughout the town. It is a place where families have lived for generations and where new families, young professionals and people of all ages and walks of life are flocking to establish their roots, raise their children, explore their favorite outdoor hobbies and retire. Surrounded by hiking trails, parks, and rivers Lyons has an outdoor activity suited for everyone. Come summertime you can’t help but notice the presence of live music and a laid back atmosphere. Lyons is home to several music festivals including RockyGrass and Folks Fest. Creative outlets aren’t exclusive to just music in Lyons. Around town you will find an abundance of local craftsmen and artists. Downtown Lyons offers residents and visitors alike a welcoming place to shop, eat, drink and gather.
